Angel of OblivioN Chapter I: World Of Angels
Alendra is falling apart. Everyone is in panic, everything seems wrong as a fiery hell from below slowly devours the ground.
What's going on, i thought. I sprinted out to where all the people are gathered up. Someone was standing on a large rock. I pushed myself inside the crowd so I can hear it clearly. But even before I get to the middle, the person started to speak.
"Angels, calm yourself down.." I can hear the words clearly from where I am. People started to calm down and gather up closely to the speaker. "listen carefully.."
Then there was silence. All there is to hear was the crumbling of the ground and crackling of fire burning everything it passes. The speaker opened up his huge wings and floated up.
"The time has come," the speaker announced, "these are the prophecies that has been handed upon us. This is the beginning of the end."
It started to get noisy again. Everyone started to talk to each other. "This is not the right moment of talk." the Announcer said, "Alendra has a few more moments to stay. Open up your wings and fly. I will open up the portal to Heaven. Now, go!"
One by one wings sprung out. The speaker flew up with great speed. I know who he is -- Gherik. Light came out from his body. And with a blinding light, a giant hole appeared in the sky.
I looked around and see the flames coming closer. A very large tree can be seen burning at a distance. The tree of life.. it's burning to ashes, i thought. And with a powerful quake, the tree fell down to the ground. People started flying towards the hole. I opened up my wings flapped them and my feet got off from the ground.
"Everyone, Hurry." Gherik spoke as he float, shining at the middle of the sky.
I flew up towards the hole. "Help!" someone cried. It echoed clearly on my head. I looked down and saw someone caught in the tree of life. I flew down as fast as I could. "Raven!" he exclaimed, "Help me, please," A huge branch got him stuck. I held his body and tried to pull him out. "Pull the branch! Pull the branch, Raven," he ordered. I quickly flew to the branch holding him down.
"Quickly, Raven!" he started screaming. "The Fire!" The ground is falling apart from here. I gave all my strength and mananged to budge the huge branch. He crawled out, pushed hard to the ground and flew. He flew as fast as he could and didn't even looked back.
I let go of the branch and started to fly back. But as i was to fly, a huge baloon fell out of the tree and hung in front of me. I was shocked to see a person inside the balloon. I pulled myself back and flew up. The ground grumbled and swallowed the tree in a blazing hell below.
I looked down again and saw another angel. His left wing is on fire. I looked closely -- it's Mako. I flew down as fast as i could. Flaming rocks started to shoot up in the air.
"Mako!" I yelled on to him.
"Raven! Help!" He yelled back. The ground he's standing on shook and began to break down. He jumped off and tried to flap his wings. He fell down and the ground collapsed. He's falling towards the fire. I flew so fast and caught on to his hand.
"Mako, Hold on!" I said. He's so heavy. I flew up hard and got him to a safer ground.
"Hold on to my shoulder, quick!" I ordered. I placed his left arm on my shoulders. "Flap your wing, Let's go!"
"Raven," a voice echoed to my head. It's Gherik. I looked up to where he's at and he was looking back at me. "Hurry! Come up to me, quick!"
I flew as hard and fast as I could. My head started to hurt.
"Raven, are you okay?" Mako asked, "What's going on?"
"Voices..." I cried losing my speed. "They're everywhere.." I looked down and saw many people crying out for help.
"Raven, don't ever go back now," Mako explained, "It won't be safe anymore. Look, Gherik is losing his strength too. You need to get to Heaven more than anyone else."
"Raven!" Gherik cried out, "Hurry..."
"Sorry, Raven, but you really need to hurry." Mako said. "Bye, Raven.. Thank you very much. I'll be seeing you soon."
Mako let go of his arms on my shoulder grabbed my hand and started to glow. He let go of his hands on mine and i went shooting up to Gherik. Mako fell to the flames. Gherik grabbed me and flew so fast towards the portal. The portal swallowed us and went shooting so fast. A small shining hole appeared from afar.
The portal is starting to close. It's catching up on us. The angels above us started to shine and went shooting fast.
Gherik started to shine too. And we went shooting up in a very amazing speed. I closed my eyes and hold on to gherik real tight.

"Raven, we're here," a very calm and lively voice spoke. It was Gherik's.
I opened my eyes to an incredible joy that i felt. Everything feels happy. Is this heaven? Where are the clouds and birds, i wondered. All that there is to see is nothing. I can't even see where I am standing. I can't even feel if there's a ground. It's like i'm standing on to nothing. Everyone seems to be standing on an empty white space.
"Everyone," Gherik started to speak. Everyone turned their heads to where we're standing. I realized I'm still holding on to Gherik's clothes and immediately let go. "Heaven is not where we stand. This is merely a path."
"We know where we are," an angel with short hair proclaimed. Is he a girl or a boy, i wondered. "Why don't you tell her where we're at. I bet she doesn't know."
Everyone started staring at me as if I commited a very serious crime or something. Some of them got piercing eyes all over me, while some are giving a wondering look.
"Stop it. Now everyone move along." Gherik answered back, " will tell her as we move along."
What is there to know, I wondered. Gherik placed his arms around my shoulder and started walking. I can barely walk because of the ground. I'm feeling every step as I walk, as if I'm gonna fall down or trip if I won't be careful.
"It's alright, Raven," Gherik said. I looked at him and he wasn't looking at me. "just walk on straight. There isn't anything here, you wont trip."
I stood still and walked on straight. Yeah, i guess there isn't really anything to trip on or fall down to. I looked at Gherik's face once again. His face is flawless. His eyes are blue and beautiful. His eyebrows really matches his eyes. And his lips are to die for. A long silver hair sways elegantly alongside with the feathers of his wings behind him. His cloathe is a white garment embroidered with details on the sides. It looks like its some sort of ancient writings. I loooked at mine and it's really neat, i guess. A garment is wrapped diagonally on my chest and around my waist, as a small thin string of garment coil around my left arm and right leg. Where did I get this, anyway, i wondered.
"So, how do you.. feel, Raven," Gherik asked.
"I'm alright, I guess," I smiled and replied. "Where are we.. anyway?"
"This is Bliss," he answered politely. "It's a road at the middle of Alendra and Heaven."
"Bliss..? Why isn't there anything in here?" I asked.
"There's nothing here right now because of us." he said.
"Because of you..? Why is that?" I asked agitatingly.
"I guess the right question for now is.. Who I am.. right?" he proposed. I looked at hima nd he looked back at me.
"You're Gherik... right?" I said as I gave him an intriguing look.
"Yes, I am Gherik," he smilingly answered, "You may know my name, Raven.. but do you know who I am? What I do or what I am to you and to everyone?"
"Well, you are... you are... you..." I uttered. What's going on? I don't know a thing. I felt really strange; scared, I guess. I looked at him and he just gave me a frozen look. Now, I'm really scared. Who are these people. A stranger has his arm on my back and i don't even know who he is.
"Don't be afraid, Raven," He said as he looke daway from me. "I will tell you anything you want to know as we go on. I may not have every answer to your questions, but i will try my best."
Whatever he just said, it really lessened my worries and calmed down me a bit.
